The reflexology session will consist of specific hand techniques performed on the feet.  There are no tools involved. 

When you come into the room, you will need to take off your shoes and socks, recline back in a chair.  I will have a blanket and pillow for you to use as well and that's when you can just relax and take a deep breath. 

I will wipe your feet down with a warm wet cloth and I will also use lotion to begin the session.

During the session it will feel like a massage to you but I am actually stimulating the neuropathways and nerve endings in your feet that are linked to all your body systems and everything else within the body.  It does not hurt or alter your feet in any way.  It actually makes you even more relaxed to the point of going to sleep which is what most of my clients do and I will wake you up when I am done.  But don't worry!  I won't leave the room during the session and you won't fall into such a deep sleep that you won't know what I am doing.

After the session, be prepared to feel a little groggy or like a loose noodle (this is a client's quote) and you will come out of this feeling before you leave.  Over the next few hours you may feel like taking a nap, you may have extra energy or you may even feel like you have a cold coming on.  This is all normal and should go a way over time.  This is your body's way of detoxifying from what I triggered in your feet.  What initially causes this feeling is when I open up a energy block for that particular body system.

Please keep this in mind!  If your body is really stressed, you may experience a healing crisis.  What this means is that you may go to the bathroom more frequently in the means of diarrhea or your body may start to ache like you are coming down with the flu or a severe cold.  The is also a normal part of the process so please do not freak out or decide that this is not for you.  If you do experience this, it will take a few more reflexology sessions to get your body systems back to normal and functioning better.
